This position is responsible for operating welding equipment to fabricate high-quality parts, subassemblies, and finished products. Work includes various types of welds in multiple positions on diverse production lines. This role ensures precision, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety protocols. YOUR IMPACT These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned: Pass and maintain certification through the Welder Qualification Test. Operate overhead cranes to safely position parts for welding. Adjust machine settings for proper weld configurations. Clean finished welds using tools such as grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns. Heat, form, and weld metal parts in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Use measuring tools accurately to ensure specification compliance. Read and interpret blueprints and follow verbal/written work instructions. Assemble and weld metal components with precision. Position and secure parts correctly prior to welding. Cross-train and work across production areas as needed. Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards. Adhere to all safety, cleanliness, and 6S procedures. Work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
