About The Position

Production Welder Armstrong Steel, experts on pre-engineered building systems, is looking for a welder who has the desire to advance their career in manufacturing. Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment and take pride in your work. Requirements

  • Welding school graduates are welcome. Must have an understanding of shop math, reading and understanding a tape measure to 1/16", blue print reading, welding symbols, general welding knowledge and general shop practice.
  • Experience working with Mig and Flux core.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • Steel toe boots required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience GMAW (metal-core), crane operation preferred
  • Understanding AWS D1.1 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously weld to insure project deadlines are met.
  • Accurately understand quality assurance requirements and the impact on welding processes and parts being processed.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe and professional manner.
  • Ensure all welds are 100% visually inspected prior to leaving the factory.
  • Following of all safety procedures is required.
