About The Position

The Welder is responsible and accountable for: Perform various TIG and/or MIG welds on steel and aluminum to assemble athletic facility equipment. Litania Sports Group promotes a team environment. All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed. Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3 pm and overtime as mandated.

Requirements

Minimum 18 years of age
Proven proficiency in TIG and/or MIG welds on steel and/or aluminum
Read a tape measure
Ability to read and work from blue prints including understanding tolerances
Ability to take direction in written and oral English
Ability to pass a drug screen and work in a drug-free environment

Nice To Haves

Ability to perform continuous weld up to 24 inches desired

Responsibilities

Follow all safety procedures to protect self and others
Accept work orders, review prints, and determine work that needs to be performed
Set up welds to include choosing correct jig and setting gas pressure, wire speed and amperage
Perform welds per prints
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
Occasionally weld around pipe up to 8 inches
Perform water-tight welds
Clean up weld splatter from product and in work area
Wheel products to next step in process
