About The Position

Composite Advantage designs and manufactures high-performance Fiber Reinforced Polymer composite products. We are a world leading supplier of FRP products for bridges, waterfront infrastructure and rail platforms – based on award winning technology and innovative designs. We are currently seeking to hire a Welding Technician to work in our Dayton, OH manufacturing facility. This is a direct-hire position and is full-time, 40 hours/week, second shift, Monday - Friday, OT as required.

Requirements

1 + years of experience in mig/tig welding.
Must be proficient in plasma cutting, band saw, drill preps, and oxy-acetylene
Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th
Must be able to pass an onsite weld test
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Work will require standing most of the day
Ability to read a tape measure and scale
Must be able to work around fiberglass and fumes from resins and paints (PPE will be provided)
Must be able to follow written and verbal manufacturing instructions
Must be able to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with composites, but not required

Responsibilities

Mig and tig welding
Cutting of steel using a cut-off saw and bandsaw
Read blue prints and complete fabrication
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment
Reliable attendance. Must be at work every day and on time
