Build Your Future with Environmental Air Systems! Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for Welders to join our fabrication shop in High Point, North Carolina. In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision. TRAINING IN HIGH POINT, NC We are currently looking for welders to join our talented crew. This is a unique opportunity to start your journey at our High Point, NC shop with the opportunity of relocating to our brand-new facility in Asheboro, NC!

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager
• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required
• Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8“ material
• Good verbal communication skills with other employees
• Positive attitude
• Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
• Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel members using (MIG) wirefeed processes
• Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures
• Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements
• Follow proper safety instructions
• Work in a team environment
• Perform other duties as needed by supervision
