Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of field-related experience in heavy equipment weld repair.
• Certification/Degree in Heavy Equipment Mechanical Maintenance from a vocational tech school or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical, technical, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assemble and perform all weld repairs on equipment.
• Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision while following detailed instructions.
• Experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations in day-to-day work environment with high attention to detail.
• Understand metallurgical plate types.
• Perform Stick, MIG, and air arc welding techniques.
• Ensure accurate record keeping of daily tasks performed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Use various shop tools and overhead crane in day-to-day work.
• Knowledge of welding repair procedures including weld repair specifications.
• Conduct self in a professional image of Coeur.
• Participate in all appropriate training.
• Follow all policies and procedures as specified in the employee handbook or as directed.
• Perform oxy/acetylene cutting, mag drill use, and crack detection through mag particle testing.
• Fabricate using stick welding and/or MIG/TIG welding.
