We are currently seeking a Welder for our Canal point, FL plant on early day shift.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
• Proficient at various types of metal fabrication
• Certified Welder-mig, Tig and rod
• Troubleshoot basic troubleshooting skills
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

Requirements

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends and nights when necessary
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Certified Welder
• CPR & First Aid trained
• MSHA Trained
• Forklift & Man lift Certified
• Confined Space trained
• Fall protection trained
