About The Position

Requirements

• 2 years of previous welding experience required.
• Basic skills in welding techniques and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment used in the repair and servicing of compactors, containers, and carts.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes.
• Repairs compactors, containers, and carts.
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostic and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.
• Qualified in various welding processes such as arc welding, gas welding, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software for documenting repairs and parts usage.
• Assists senior welders in project work.
• Performs service calls for compactor repair.
• Engages in flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.
