About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Welder/Technician to provide mechanical support in the fabrication and integration of various weldments and assemblies for Department of Defense (DoD) systems. The role involves building fixtures and jig assemblies, setting up machines for a safe shop environment, and participating in design optimization and fabrication readiness reviews. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and manufacturing teams in a dynamic environment, contributing to hardware solutions and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or 2 years of formal technical training and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficient with Mig Welding and able to certify to D1.1.
  • Ability to work with fast-paced engineering teams and participate in design reviews.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited assistance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating an overhead crane and forklift.
  • Background working with military systems and mechanical integration onto platforms.
  • Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings.

Responsibilities
