About The Position

The Welder/PipeFitter is responsible for the installation and repair of industrial Boilers and Compressed Air Systems.

Requirements

• Ability to attend vendor training and company-sponsored classes.
• Experience in maintaining inventory and related records.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and safety protocols.
• Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Attend vendor training and company-sponsored classes.
• Maintain truck stock inventory, including repair parts and related records concerning time, labor, and material logs of tasks performed.
• Maintain interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness.
• Prepare service tickets for all work performed.
• Assist inside sales or sales by identifying and reporting sales leads.
• Train less experienced personnel.
• Drive in a manner that adheres to Tate’s fleet safety program.
• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials, and ancillary equipment by applying appropriate welding techniques.
• Ensure proper function and safe operation of the equipment by recommending welding technique, arrangement, and assembly of product through analyzing engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilize MIG/TIG stick welding techniques as well as brazing and soldering, pipefitting, rigging, and other mechanical techniques.
