About The Position

The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components; meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques. The position is for a Welder at Lincoln Industries, specifically for the 3rd shift. The job requires performing essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• Minimum of two years related welding experience and/or training
• Ability to read blueprints is required
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Nice To Haves

• 5 years production welding experience
• AWS certification

Responsibilities

• Mig & Tig welding, preferably AWS certified
• Ability to weld thin wall tube applications
• Experience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steel
• Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead
• Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary
• Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of parts
• Examining finished products and spare parts to verify that they meet specification requirements
• Preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment to weld
• Work within a team environment and train new welders as needed
• Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste
