This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical work instructions
  • Self-sufficient, self-starter and driven
  • Experience/education in GTAW welding technologies
  • Experience GTAW aluminum welding
  • Ability to fabricate and use basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment
  • Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs
  • Familiar with Microsoft office suite applications
  • Must be able to pass a practical Weld Test

Nice To Haves

  • Some technical coursework, trade school and/or AA technical degree/equivalent
  • Familiarity with Geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Exposure to mechanized welding technologies
  • Experience with GTAW AC and DC aluminum welding
  • Willingness to learn and carry out detailed instruction
  • Current GTAW certifications in accordance with AWS D17.1/D1.1,D1.2
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment. (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.)
  • Work 1st or 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary.
  • Willingness to develop/learn new welding processes.
