About The Position

MMI is looking to hire experienced ironworkers who have at least 3 years of experience in ironworking and welding. Ironworkers are involved in raising, positioning, aligning, and connecting steel girders, columns, beams and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. Most of our work is in the Phoenix metro area with some travel for those interested in out of state travel. Must be able to pass a drug test.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in ironworking and welding
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Certification or ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test (SMAW and FCAW)
• Knowledge of crane hoisting, rigging and signaling

Responsibilities

• Must be able to read, understand and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Layout, bolt up, connecting and erecting structural steel
• Installation of steel stairs and railings, fences, gates and other misc. metals
• Follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policies
• Knowledge and use of crane hoisting, rigging and signaling (certifications a plus)
• Welding, torch cutting, arc gouging, grinding
• Must be certified or able to pass a 3G and 4G weld test (SMAW and FCAW)
• Operate equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, reach forklifts, warehouse forklifts etc.)
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
• Have own tools
