About The Position
Thompson Pipe Group is looking for a skilled Welder III to join our 1st Shift steel pipe manufacturing team. This role is ideal for an experienced FCAW welder who can work independently, meet quality standards, and take pride in precision work.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a 3G FCAW weld test with back gouge/back weld
- Experience with FCAW
- Ability to meet ASME welding acceptance requirements (95%+)
- Strong welding, repair, and fabrication skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work a full shift
Nice To Haves
- GMAW and SAW experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform FCAW welding on steel pipe, fittings, and spiral-welded cylinders
- Inspect welds and surfaces and complete repairs to meet ASME/AWWA specifications
- Measure and document weld repairs with accuracy
- Use cutting torches, grinders, and hand tools to complete repair work
- Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment
- Work with minimal supervision in a production environment
