Requirements

  • Possess a welding certification OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a welder.
  • Must be able to pass Caterpillar welding and classroom testing which includes welding courses with 80% or higher score, safety course 100% passing, 2F 8mm weld test, 2F10mm weld test, 1G weld Test.
  • Experience MIG welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work safely and wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Tools/Works.
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work overtime to support production demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Passed 2G and 3G weld test.
  • Train & Coach Welders 1 & 2.
  • Ability to set up and weld forestry.
  • Cross-trained in 3 or more areas.
  • Experience in Victoria, TX facility.

Responsibilities

  • Hand weld in multiple positions to create parts using semi-automatic MIG welders and .052 solid wire.
  • Use robotic welding technology to enhance capabilities and efficiency.
  • Read and use blueprints to weld individual parts together to create a finished product.
  • Perform advanced welding techniques, all while using safety, quality and standard work.
  • Use jib and overhead cranes to manually position parts and product.
  • Work in one and two-person weld zones that are clean, well ventilated, safe and equipped with the latest technologies.
  • Commit to being on-time and reliable.
