We win together as one team. As Welder II, you will perform a full range of MIG and TIG welding operations on a variety of parts, components, and other miscellaneous items. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Shreveport, LA. We put the "fast" in fast food and the refinement in fine dining. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years welding experience required
  • Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of workday
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch occasionally
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Pass a weld test of various MIG and TIG operations

Responsibilities

  • Work from routing sheets, blueprints, weld procedures, written and verbal instructions.
  • Weld seams ensuring strength, and neat appearance on certified work.
  • Interpret drawings; position, fit, block, clamp, and tack parts to obtain proper alignment.
  • Select proper welding equipment and material prescribed; regulate current, voltage, and pressure for proper fusion of metals.
  • Exercise care in welding to insure proper technique. Check welds for adherence to specifications. Rework as necessary.
  • Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Perform a full range of MIG and TIG welding operations to weld on a variety of parts, components, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Perform any and all weld jobs in the manufacturing area, including tacking, spot welding, and various aspects of miscellaneous welding.
