See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: POSITION SUMMARY: Welder is responsible for welding of new dollies, and support of new product integration at Boston Whaler. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Welding Certification from accredited college
- Mig and Tig experience
- Use all fabrication and welding tools, power and hand tools
- Basic communication skills
- Basic computer, math, reading and measurement proficiency
- Must be able to read drawings and specifications
- Ability to follow established safety guidelines
- Detailed and organized
- Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness
- Ability to perform other duties as required
- Lift more than 50lbs
- Fork lift certified and capable of operating other heavy equipment
- Requires extensive knowledge in all aspects of fabrication and welding
- Candidate must either be certified or willing to get certified after 90-day probationary period
- Candidate must be able to pass the Boston Whaler weld test
- Requires extensive knowledge in dolly styles and identification
- Candidate must be fork lift certified and capable of operating large equipment throughout the campus.
- Requires initiative and the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Candidate must be able to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work overtime, including weekends if needed to support production needs
- Lift up to 30 lbs up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift; push/pull up to 30 lbs
- Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary
