See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: POSITION SUMMARY: Welder is responsible for welding of new dollies, and support of new product integration at Boston Whaler. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Welding Certification from accredited college
  • Mig and Tig experience
  • Use all fabrication and welding tools, power and hand tools
  • Basic communication skills
  • Basic computer, math, reading and measurement proficiency
  • Must be able to read drawings and specifications
  • Ability to follow established safety guidelines
  • Detailed and organized
  • Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness
  • Ability to perform other duties as required
  • Lift more than 50lbs
  • Fork lift certified and capable of operating other heavy equipment
  • Requires extensive knowledge in all aspects of fabrication and welding
  • Candidate must either be certified or willing to get certified after 90-day probationary period
  • Candidate must be able to pass the Boston Whaler weld test
  • Requires extensive knowledge in dolly styles and identification
  • Candidate must be fork lift certified and capable of operating large equipment throughout the campus.
  • Requires initiative and the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Candidate must be able to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work overtime, including weekends if needed to support production needs
  • Lift up to 30 lbs up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift; push/pull up to 30 lbs
  • Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS preferred
