About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform welding tasks using various methods such as GTAW, PAW and Resistance Welding. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately. Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to instructions. Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Set up welding equipment and maintain tools in safe, working condition. Select appropriate welding materials and consumables for each job. Operate basic hand and power tools for preparation and finishing tasks. Maintain inventory of welding materials and report shortages. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe work environment. Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors. Participate in safety training and maintain compliance with welding certifications. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and job progress. Report completed work and any issues or defects to supervisors promptly. Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and production team members. Assist higher-level welders or technicians as needed for complex tasks. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress and challenges. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Basic knowledge of welding techniques and processes (GTAW, PAW, Resistance). Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Physical stamina and manual dexterity. Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one (1) year of welding experience Desired Completion of a welding training program or vocational certification preferred.
