About The Position

Safety Rail Company is seeking a full-time welder to join our manufacturing team in Chanhassen, MN. This is a full-time, year-round position with overtime opportunities. Welders have a key role in the process of manufacturing our fall protection safety products to certification requirements. To prove they are qualified, they must be able to pass and maintain an individual AWS D1.2. D1.3, D1.6 certifications. This is a safety sensitive position: Stringent adherence to SRC policies and safety requirements is crucial. This position is subject to ongoing non-DOT Drug and Alcohol policy during employment. Ability to pass certification test when instructed Ability to weld small parts and simple weldments when instructed Safe operations of all welding equipment and proper use of all PPE Welding helmet, Safety glasses, Welding jacket and gloves Can weld using the GMAW process Utilize technology for processing jobs and communication Clocking, Inventory, Job Completion Mandatory overtime when business conditions require it Adherence to the attendance policy This role reports to our Chanhassen, MN facility All other duties as required Shift: Monday through Friday 6:00-2:30, with OT opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of welding experience or training is preferred.
  • Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading blueprints and using fixtures, jigs, clamps, and quality inspection tools is essential.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (100+ lbs.) and perform various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, sitting, walking, twisting, and standing.
  • Professionalism: Conduct yourself in a professional, safe, and businesslike manner while maintaining a highly motivated, positive, and collaborative attitude.
  • Reliability: Can make the daily commute to Chanhassen, MN and maintain good attendance.
  • Pre-employment Requirements: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, full panel drug screening, and physical work simulation.
  • Training: Completion of necessary training requirements provided by SRC.

Responsibilities
