The mission of this position is to assemble prefabricated parts into a high quality aluminum boat according to factory specifications and work orders assuring safety, durability and overall customer satisfaction. Live and Promote Company Values Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to change wire properly. Ability to fix backlash/bird nest of wire in machine. Ability to assess gun functions. Knowledge of proper temperature settings How and when to change tips. Ability to identify excessive need for tip replacement. Flow meter/ regulator/orifice Understanding. Proper start up and shut down procedures. Do not unplug machines without lead/ supervisor approval. A consistency score. This will evolve to parameters. ( Live arc) Spacing, Buildup, penetration understanding. Ability to meet cycle times with acceptable quality on beginning MIG positions. Adherence to PPE policy per department standards. Welds prefabricated aluminum parts according to work orders using mig or tig welder. Utilizes tools and measuring instruments to position and align parts to assemble a good quality boat. Set-up and operate mig or tig welder. Fosters a culture of safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures. Participates in improvement efforts by input, feedback, and displaying willingness to adapt to change. Cleans and maintains an orderly workplace.
