The Welder I is responsible for the general fabrication of mechanical parts. This position may also be asked to use pneumatic or electric hand tools to perform such tasks as deburr or surface prep of metal parts. This position must be able to follow both written and verbal work instructions as well as interface with the enterprise time keeping system as well as interface with machine controls. This position must also be able to use and read basic machine shop measuring equipment that includes, but may not be limited to dial calipers, tape measures, and protractors. This position will take direction from the area lead or supervisor as required. Any and all work performed will be recorded in the enterprise system so that labor efficiency and utilization can be monitored.
