About The Position

As a Welder Helper, you will support our welding team in a safe and efficient work environment. In this role, you will assist experienced welders by preparing materials, maintaining tools and equipment, and helping with the setup and cleanup of work areas. You will also work to develop a working knowledge of the various methods used for welding a variety of materials and components, gaining practical experience and skills as you support the welding process. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards across all welding activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Oil Field experience
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
  • Thorough knowledge of oilfield machinery and repair
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a “safety first” mentality
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check to company standards
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able bending, lifting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in a variety of shop environments including cold or heat
  • Must be able to stand on concrete floors for extended periods
  • May be exposed to galvanized welding fumes
  • Must be able to wear and perform work in personal protective equipment (e.g. welding hood) for extended periods.

  • Support welders by setting up the workspace, maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow instructions
  • Must be proactive, and good at troubleshooting.
  • Must make safety a top priority.
