About The Position

This welding position offers a starting pay of $28.88 per hour. The role requires performing welding in various positions including laying down, kneeling, standing, and overhead. Candidates must be comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 6 feet. Additionally, the job involves carrying, lifting, and setting up welding equipment that ranges from 20 to 66 pounds, and the ability to work both indoors and outdoors is essential.

Requirements

• Certificate or Associates Degree in Welding Technology
• Trade/Vocational School graduate with focus on FCAW or GMAW
• 1 year FCAW/GMAW welding experience in heavy fabrication industry
• Ability to demonstrate welding ability/skill during assessment (interview)
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job
• FCAW groove welding to U.T Testing standards
• Perform Fillet weld tests with FCAW/GMAW-P to Visual Testing standards
• Knowledge of AWS Welding Symbols
• Welding equipment setup and operation
• Ability to wear a respirator

Responsibilities
