About The Position

Mark III Construction is growing, and we are looking for a Field Welder/Fitter for projects in Sacrmento area. We are looking for an experienced welder proficient in GMAW, GTAW, TIG, SMAW welding and or Pipe Fitting. Who we are: Mark III is a full-service construction company comprised of three complementary business units: M3 MEP, M3 Service, and M3 Components . We support projects from initial concept through long-term maintenance, with specialized expertise in healthcare, higher education, industrial, life science, and technology markets. Our integrated, big-picture approach allows us to self-perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, process piping, prefabrication, and MEP design. By consolidating these services under one organization, clients benefit from reduced profit layers, minimized scope gaps, and simplified project schedules—working with a single, accountable partner rather than multiple consultants and subcontractors. Headquartered in Sacramento, California, Mark III operates throughout California and Nevada. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility serves as a centralized hub supporting five core trades: HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing, electrical, and metal-stud framing. To support our continued growth, we will be relocating from our current combined 62,000 square feet of office and operational space to a new 340,000-square-foot headquarters at 2031 Optisolar Lane , with the move planned for completion by the end of Q2 2026 . Requirements

  • Lay out, fit, produce isometric drawings and take offs, and fabricate metal components to assemble piping components
  • Consistently perform GMAW (MIG) pipe weld that meet ASME/AWS standards and can maintain welding certification.
  • Consistently perform SMAW (Stick) pipe welds that meet ASME/AWS standards and can maintain welding certification.
  • Consistently perform GTAW (TIG) pipe welds that meet ASME/AWS standards and can maintain welding certification.
  • Able to perform their own pipe fitting as needed.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Constantly seeks ways to improve efficiency, quality and cost control where applicable
  • Meet key business objectives including safety, quality, productivity, delivery, etc.
  • Production and quality requirements are met in order to satisfy the customer base in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Determine appropriate welding techniques, by reading and analyzing plans and work orders, calculating requirements and studying materials.
  • Required to lift objects weighing up to 25lbs
  • Required walking for long and short distances, walking from one worksite to another.
  • Required to perform repetitive motion tasks
  • Required to pull or push using force
  • Required to stand for sustained periods of time
  • Required to bend or twist at the neck and torso
  • Required to crouching, squatting, stooping, kneeling
  • Required to use and climb ladders to work from heights
  • Required to use scissor, boom, and other personnel lifts to access the work area
  • Required to reach above head
  • Required to reach forward, grab, grasp, pinching, handle material and tools using upper extremities
  • Required to lift objects from low to high positions in horizontal to vertical motions
  • Required to talk, express, or exchange detailed, important information by means of verbal communication.
  • Constantly Required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards.
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
