About The Position
Qualdoc is seeking experienced Flux Core Welders and Welder/Fitters for our client in Ashland, VA. This role will be responsible for welding heavy industrial structural steel equipment and components using shop drawings for fabrication. This position is a contract with the potential to go full-time based on performance and business needs. Overtime!!!! 50-56 hours weekly!!
Requirements
- Experience in Flux Core Arc welding
- Able to pass a Full Penetration Vertical Weld test
- Able to pass a Fillet Overhead weld test
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards
- Able to read shop drawings
- Able to read AWS weld symbols
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Have your own welding and safety equipment (welding helmet, gloves, and steel toes)
