About The Position

The position involves welding and fabricating metal components according to blueprints and specifications. The role requires passing specific welding tests and certifications, as well as ensuring quality and safety standards are met during the fabrication process. The candidate will work in a team environment to maximize efficiency and productivity while operating various welding tools and machinery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in welding (+1 year) in a manufacturing setting or related fields.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Familiarity with welding tools (drill press, band saw, and hand tools).
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Set up welding machines based on job requirements.
• Ability to lift raw materials (up to 60 pounds).
• Must be able to pass AWS D1.1 & D1.3 certification.

Nice To Haves

• AWS certification history is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies using welds and mechanical fasteners according to accepted methods.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Position, align, fit, and weld parts together.
• Set up and operate hand tools.
• Verify fabricated elements meet design specifications.
• MIG / PULSE weld steel components based on blueprints and drawings.
• Follow quality standards with attention to detail.
• Ensure work is done safely.
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
• Maintain shop equipment and supplies.
