Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of welding experience
  • Ability to read tape measures and blueprints
  • Proficiency in operating welding equipment
  • Training in applicable SOPs and work instructions
  • Skills in applying cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements
  • Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications
  • Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications
  • Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations
  • Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed
  • Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties
