Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience
At least one year of welding experience
Ability to read tape measures and blueprints
Proficiency in operating welding equipment
Training in applicable SOPs and work instructions
Skills in applying cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers

Responsibilities

Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements
Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications
Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications
Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations
Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed
Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties
