About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: This role is a strong technical contributor; passing all welding requirements for Les Schwab Equipment (LSE). Fabricates various types of products per Les Schwab’s (LS) request and vision; responsible for prepping and assembling metal products using various tools and machines. Strong ability to read blueprints/diagrams, layout materials, and complete fabrication builds with limited supervision. Must be 18 years or older. Day Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Requirements

Ability to weld various materials in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Ability to use various welding equipment
Strong ability to read blueprints/diagrams, layout materials, and complete fabrication builds with limited supervision
Ability to obtain forklift certification and use large cranes to move materials and finished products
Frequent lifting of equipment and materials weighing more than 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs without aid.
Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
Work is performed in both inside and outside environments, subject to hazards associated with a welding/fabrication shop including high levels of noise.

Responsibilities

Prepare materials for fabrication through the use of tools and equipment, following prepared drawings or blueprints to prepare materials/components for final assembly
Create fabricated materials/items which may include, but are not limited to: steel/aluminum boxes, service bodies, alignment pit groups, quick lifts, benches, and cabinets
