Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid Driver’s License
Possess written and verbal skills
Math Skills
Reasoning skills
Language skills

Responsibilities

Work from drawings, sketches, and a minimum of instruction.
Assemble parts in proper sequence, place bracing in correct location to minimize distortion.
Perform welding operations such as arc, MIG, TIG brazing and burning in all positions on a variety of metals.
Operate drill press to make parts for fabrication.
Utilize crane and material handling equipment.
Use precision measuring tools.
Record measurements, record pertinent information as required.
Read and interpret prints, including welding prints
Weld per SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards; vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal
Plasma arc cutting
Air carbon arc cutting
Pipe bending, fitting, welding, and threading
Use horizontal and vertical saws, torch, and cut off wheel
Set up and operate all welding machines, be able to do basic troubleshooting
Set up and operate all machines in the fabrication area, be able to do basic troubleshooting
Follow instructions and established procedures.
