We are seeking a Welder, Fabricator for production of assemblies that are used all over the world in nearly every level of manufacturing and construction. They will learn how to accurately identify different diameters, constructions, and best possible applications for an array of products that are utilized in industries like construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical, deep-sea recovery and rescue. Working closely with experienced staff and learning on the job skills with years of proven quality and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in TIG welding, blueprint reading, and steel fabrication.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; certification in welding or fabrication preferred.
  • 2+ years of fabrication and TIG welding experience, preferably in steel applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Proficient in the use of fabrication tools, measuring devices, and shop machinery.
  • Strong understanding of overhead crane components, fabrication processes, and material handling safety.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in TIG welding.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble various lifting and rigging products including slings, wire ropes, lifting devices, rigging hardware, sling protection solutions, hoists, synthetic ropes, and tie-down equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to fabricate alloy chain slings
  • Perform TIG (GMAW) welding on alloy steel and occasionally stainless or aluminum material as needed and be able to pass a welding certification (AEH will sponsor certification).
  • Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality and safety standards as defined by company and industry codes.
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, shears, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
  • Inspect finished welds and structures for accuracy, alignment, and defects, making repairs or corrections as necessary.
  • Report defective or substandard material supplies or product
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines.
  • Track and report progress on projects, assist with work planning and scheduling.
