We are seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join our Fabrication team. This role plays a critical part in producing high‑quality welded and fabricated components that meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations. In this role you will get to: Welding (50%) Perform TIG welding on aluminum materials, utilizing precise heat control and filler metal to create strong and aesthetically appealing welds. Clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for welding, removing any contaminants or impurities that could affect the quality of the weld. Set up and adjust welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate TIG welding torch, gas flow, and amperage, based on the thickness and type of aluminum being welded. Inspect finished welds for defects and discontinuities, using visual inspection and non-destructive testing methods as required to ensure the product being manufactured is meeting required specifications. Work with a variety of welding joint configurations, such as butt joints, lap joints, and fillet welds, depending on the project's specifications. Safely handle and move aluminum materials and welded components during the welding process. Fabrication (50%) Operate fabrication equipment such as brake presses, punch presses, saws, grinders, and welding equipment. Fabricate parts and assemblies using blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials to precise specifications. General Responsibilities: Perform basic quality checks to ensure conformance to specifications – including welds, fabricated parts, and steel. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Collaborate with team members, team leads, and supervisors to meet production goals. Support continuous improvement and process efficiency initiatives. Accurately record production data in Epicor. Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product. Examine and verify the integrity of aluminum materials to ensure they meet the required quality standards before welding.
