About The Position

We are looking for a talented and experienced TIG Welder Fabricator to join our custom manufacturing team in Newport, MN. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in welding and fabrication, along with a strong capability to interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings. This role involves overseeing welding projects with a focus on precision and high-quality output, while also collaborating with team members and ensuring that custom-made components meet stringent standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or related education
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with metal working tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt swiftly to changing circumstances
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in welding fabrication preferred
  • Experience in a custom manufacturing site preferred
  • Experience in TIG welding

Responsibilities

  • Perform and execute TIG welding techniques on different materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Fabricate metal components and assemblies by cutting, shaping, and joining metal parts according to specifications
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Comprehend and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine precise specifications for welding and fabrication tasks
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and gauges to guarantee compliance with design specifications and requirements
  • Inspect finished components for compliance with design specifications and quality standards
  • Perform routine checks and adjustments to maintain welding parameters and ensure high-quality welds
  • Partner with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure that custom projects are completed to client specifications and within project timelines
  • Provide input on design improvements and suggest solutions to fabrication challenges
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to be cross trained in more than one area
