Join a team that builds the outer hull of the Virginia and Columbia Class Nuclear Powered Submarines, a critical component in our nation's defense. This role involves both manual and mechanized pulse/spray welding processes, along with shipfitting and metal fabrication functions. You will be responsible for fabricating frames and cylinders to produce the pressure hull, ensuring they are ready for outfitting functions using a variety of hydraulic fixtures. Following work packages, fixture setup sheets, drawings, ERs, and SSPs is essential to produce a quality product. Additionally, you will need to pass a semi-automatic and mechanized spray and pulse arc test (GMAPLS, GMASPS & GMASPM) after completing training to be granted a position.
