About The Position

With more than one million tons of structural steel fabricated over the past 20 years, High Steel Structures LLC is proud of the quality reputation we've earned as the steel fabricator of choice for North America's transportation infrastructure projects. 3rd-shift operates four nights per week, Mon - Thurs 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM. (Your standard work week ends on Fri 7:00 AM.) Coworkers must be flexible and available to work overtime as requested or per business demand. Shift premium for 3rd shift is 25% of your base salary! Welders / Fabricators are responsible for performing various fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding and related operations to assemble and fabricate various structural steel units, including bridges and other building products.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.
• Demonstrated welding experience, including Stick, MIG, and/or Submerged Arc desired.
• Ability to pass the required welding certification test.

Nice To Haves

• High school or post-secondary coursework or degree in welding/fabrication highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform various fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding and related operations to assemble and fabricate various structural steel units.
• Work from prints and specification tables.
• Use adjustable layout and measuring instruments.
