About The Position

Hoods Unlimited is seeking a skilled, hands-on Welder / Fabrication Technician to support our growing commercial kitchen exhaust hood installation division. This role is ideal for someone with strong welding experience who is looking to apply their skills in a specialized, high-demand industry. No prior experience with kitchen exhaust systems is required—we will train the right candidate. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and wants to grow into a larger role within our commercial projects team.

Requirements

Prior welding experience required (MIG, TIG, or Stick)
Ability to work with metal fabrication tools and equipment
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and be trained in commercial kitchen exhaust systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Responsibilities

Perform welding and fabrication for commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems
Assist with installation of hoods, ductwork, and related system components
Read and interpret basic drawings, layouts, and project scopes
Ensure all welds and fabricated components meet quality and safety standards
Work closely with the Director of Commercial Projects and Project Manager to complete jobs efficiently and correctly
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment
Support project timelines and contribute to on-time project completion
