About the Role: The Welding and Production Support Team Member is responsible for the fabrication of embeds. Embeds are used to reinforce pre-cast concrete pieces. They fabricate steel plates with rebar and studs. The Fab Shop Team Member is subject to indoor and outdoor climates and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job while meeting company safety, quality, and productivity targets. This position will also supply support to production beyond the welding and fab shop duties. These additional duties may include (but not limited to) welding bars or angles to beams outside in the yard, welding/torching on formwork throughout the plant, assisting the maintenance department as needed with welding, cleaning prestress chucks, and unloading deliveries as they arrive.

Requirements

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Comfortable standing, lifting, kneeling, and operating on narrow surfaces.
Ability to read a tape measure and interpret technical construction drawings.

Responsibilities

Weld rebar and studs to steel plates.
Assist in production-focused duties, including but not limited to, welding support in the yard, cleaning prestress chucks, and unloading deliveries as they arrive.
