About The Position

Requirements

• 2 years of previous welding experience required.
• Basic skills in welding techniques.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices for operating or repairing compactors, containers, and carts.
• Skill in operating tools and equipment used during repair and servicing.
• Ability to perform repairs on a variety of compactors, containers, and carts.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and apply basic welding processes.
• Repair compactors, containers, and carts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and diagnostics on electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize various welding processes such as arc welding, gas welding, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering.
• Conduct safety checks on compactors and containers.
• Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software for repairs and parts usage.
• Assist senior welders with project work.
• Perform service calls for compactor repair.
• Engage in flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching of metal and plastic parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
