About The Position

Likwifier is currently looking for a Welder Class B to join our growing team! Come join us as we offer our customers more than 100 years of combined experience in the food processing industry. We are passionate about working closely with our customers, and engineering the most creative solutions to meet their particular food industry equipment needs. Our Welder – Class B plays an important role on the Likwifier Production team. This role’s primary purpose is to assist with welding and building the range of food production manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience fabricating and welding with the ability to weld with TIG, and TGAW stainless steel.
  • Ability to read tape measure and digital calipers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must have the ability to polish and finish stainless steel.
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow basic safety practices.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical actions such as squatting, reaching, standing for long periods of time, and lifting and carrying products.
  • Must be able to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties.
  • Sound operation abilities with overhead cranes, forklifts, and all hand tools.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to successfully follow through on assignments.
  • Understanding of safety standards is required; including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be trustworthy, dependable and able to work well with other team members.
  • MUST BE DEPENDABLE – Our customers count on us to get the job done and it takes every one of us!
  • Requires the interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with wide variety of internal personnel.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Must be able to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties.
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Must show concern for quality and practice continuous improvement;

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred; some college preferred.
  • Fork lift training is preferred.
  • Electrical wiring, mechanical, and plumbing assembly is a plus.
  • We need someone who wants to do more than simply be a "welder", who works well in team environments.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in TIG Welding
  • Basic deburring, grinding, and polishing.
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Execute job orders per shop floor paperwork including blueprints.
  • Complete work within quality and time standards.
  • Understand and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Maintain the tools used to create products.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
