Welder Assembler– 1st Shift- Stanley Access Technologies, Greenfield IN Stanley Access Technologies seeks a self-motivated, results-driven team player to fill a Welder position at our Greenfield, IN location. Welder Assembler This role supports the manufacturing process, by reading and interpreting the work order to assemble welded components for producing product using welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and sometimes even automated machinery to assemble product.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year experience welding.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Understanding of assembly techniques, tools, and equipment used in the manufacturing process. This includes the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Good time management skills to meet production goals.
  • Ability to communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate tasks, report issues, and provide updates on progress.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the assembly process. This includes identifying and resolving technical problems, suggesting improvements, and working collaboratively with team members to find solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity; ability to use fingers and hands to feel, handle, or squeeze; reach with hands and arms; twist/turn body; perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move/lift up to 75+ pounds, utilizing team lifting or tools to move assembled door components when needed.
  • Adaptable and able to adjust to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.

Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting work tickets and assembly instructions to understand the sequence and methods of assembly.
  • Setup and operating welding equipment.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  • Use of all the necessary components and materials required for the assembly process.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble and connect the various components of the automatic door.
  • Ensure assembled door parts meet quality standards.
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or defects in the assembly process, such as misaligned parts or faulty components.
  • Following safety protocols and ensuring that all assembly work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area and properly storing tools and equipment after use.
  • Collaborating with other team members, such as engineers or quality control personnel, to address any challenges or improvements in the assembly process.
  • Documenting and recording performance as well as any issues or defects encountered during assembly on the hour x hour sheets.
  • Adhering to production schedules and meeting production targets to ensure timely delivery of finished automatic doors.
  • Other projects or assembly work as assigned.
