Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of welding processes.
  • Ability to interpret written instructions and drawings.
  • Experience with TIG welding and certification.
  • Mathematical skills relevant to welding functions.
  • Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Completes routine and some advanced welding tasks while applying standard practices.
  • Properly prepares weld surfaces.
  • Interprets and follows written instructions, sketches, weld schedules, drawing and documents.
  • Performs fitting of assemblies.
  • Repairs some of their own parts.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Regularly evaluates his/her own product quality for continuous improvement.
  • Works under limited oversight.
  • Successfully complete the Exotic Metals TIG weld training program and/or have equivalent experience.
  • Hold multiple, basic Exotic Metals weld qualification/certification.
  • Must be able to use mathematics relevant to welding functions.
  • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing; knows where to find this information and seeks help if necessary.
  • Can move to various work areas easily with experience.
