About The Position
This position is responsible for safely and efficiently repairing and maintaining plant industrial equipment and machinery. The maintenance welder will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of equipment to include conveyor systems, shakers, gearboxes, fixed plant equipment, and other mobile equipment as necessary. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 PM to 2 AM at Arrowood Quarry located at 11325 Texland Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28273. The maintenance welder will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment, often in out-of-position welding scenarios. Maximizing the performance of equipment is crucial, which involves performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis. The role also includes fabrication and erection of processing equipment, as well as repairs to both processing and mobile equipment. Daily pre and post inspections of the working area are required to ensure safety and efficiency. Additionally, the maintenance welder may operate other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks safely as needed, and will aid in the training of co-workers as necessary. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as required.
