About The Position

Carry-On Trailer in Winnemucca, NV., has immediate openings for Welders. The position requires candidates to pass a drug test. The company is currently offering a $1000 retention bonus for all full-time applicants that are newly hired, which will be paid in three installments after completion of 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. Additionally, there is a $750 referral bonus for referring someone who completes 30 days of work.

Requirements

• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods a plus.
• Ability to lift, push, pull heavy items up to 50-70 pounds consistently required.
• Must have the ability to use and read a tape measure.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule to support production.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team, follow orders, and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment, settings, and methods based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
• Align components using fixtures, tape measure, levels, speed square, etc. and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
• Prepare trailers and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Assist other welders in the completing of work to ensure work is completed as efficiently as possible.
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and booth.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
