About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Weld Technician - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate is $20.45. The Production Worker is expected to work in all departments of the manufacturing plant – Weld, Paint, Press, Packing, Shipping, Mill, Layout – doing various manual labor jobs. Some departments are more physically demanding, however, the general laborer should be capable of handling the work in all departments on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to frequently carry 10-34 pounds and occassionally carry 35-100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to carry a 100-pound ladder occasionally with assistance.
  • Must be able to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and climb heights with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to frequently crouch, kneel, balance, reach above shoulder level, push, and pull with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform packaging and assembly tasks according to production standards.
  • Set up materials and components in alignment with shop order specifications.
  • Stack, band, and secure parts for safe handling and transport.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with workstation setup.
  • Create barcodes and accurately label finished products.
  • Cutting materials using a band saw while following all safety procedures.
  • Handle materials efficiently to support smooth workflow and production needs.
