Our Fabrication Department is looking for a Weld Tech I to bring precision, passion, and skill to our growing team. What You’ll Do: Perform entry-level welding, fabrication, and assembly work. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Follow blueprints, work orders, and safety guidelines to deliver quality results. Support the fabrication team with daily production goals. General Description : The Weld Tech I, is an entry-level fabrication position responsible for fitting and welding metal parts together according to provided drawings (schematic). They will work both independently and within a Team to accomplish given tasks and is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area within a fast-paced work environment. Under general direction of the Fabrication Manager, position will work Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day with the occasional overtime and some weekend work. Essential Functions: Performs finish grinding of parts or welded assemblies using manual and power tools. Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together. Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Replace old or defective fabrication consumables with new ones (MIG gun, plasma torch, etc.). Adapts to changes in the work environment; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Responsible for requesting tools, supplies, and fixtures needed for the work they perform. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Other duties as assigned by the FM. May be required to work in other locations from time to time.
