About The Position

Welding Support Specialist I - The Welding Support Specialist has a good understanding of safety, basic math, computer interfaces, measurement tool uses, appropriate hand tool usage, and power tool.  With adequate guidance and training, the Welding Support Specialist I will practice competence with leak check, de-ring, laser mark industrial parts, use measurement tooling such as micrometer and blade micrometer, and industrial clean. Welding Support Specialist II - The Welding Support Specialist II with minimal guidance and training, must practice safe methods on laser mark aero products, pin point leaks, paint, use comparator to measure parts, ring and de-ring aero parts. With adequate guidance and training braze S&C rods, epoxy and braze for aero products. Regularly performs accurate and high-quality operations on the previously mention equipment/operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, common business documents, and industry publications.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from manufacturing personnel.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportional to practical situations.
  • Ability to work with principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)
  • Must be an organized self-starter with good reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to work under general supervision and take direction.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; sit, talk and hear, stand, use hands; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. Physical requirements are the ability to lift up to 25 pounds continuously, 50 pounds occasionally, or up to 100 pounds, with assistance.
  • Must possess basic personal computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Microsoft Outlook.
