About The Position

Our quality management system has been tried and tested to meet the stringent requirements of AS9100 certification. As a Weld Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a weld fitter
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required

  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Use of straightedge, combination square, and calipers
  • Use of shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing
  • Prep, lay out, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
  • Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or horizontal positions
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques
  • Perform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assembly
  • Maintain the proper tooling to complete tasks
  • Construct structural components from raw materials
  • Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications
  • Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed
  • Certified in TIG and MIG welding
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
  • Other duties as assigned
