If you’re calm, cool, and collected, we have a job for you. We’re currently seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to maintain the safety and security of the hotel’s guests, associates and assets. This job is all about how you react, or just as important, don’t react, in a crisis. It’s about staying a step (or five) ahead of potentially dangerous situations, identifying them and managing them with professionalism, reasonable thinking and in accordance with our policies. (Inside Tip: Meditation is an incredibly useful practice.)

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting the guest upon every arrival, ensuring proper parking instructions are provided, answering any questions upon entry into the property.
  • Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities and to practice proactive, kind and thoughtful hospitality.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English and any foreign language with the guests and visitors, management, and co-workers to their fullest understanding.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
  • Ability to understand guest inquiries and provide responses.
  • Ability to focus attention on the guest’s needs with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and to make good judgments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure of arriving and departing guests.
  • Ability to input and access data in hotel computer systems.
  • Ability to remain stationary at an assigned post for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
