About The Position

The Welcome Center Associate must have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner. The candidate must also enjoy working in a fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail and dependable. Opportunity for morning coverage/additional hours as needed. Requirements

At least 18 years old
At least one year of customer service experience preferred
Able to use and navigate on a computer and computer related systems

Responsibilities

Greet all YMCA members coming in when scanning their membership passes & create a friendly atmosphere at the branch
Provide accurate information about programs, YMCA memberships and policies to members & potential members
Promote membership at the YMCA and present new member materials to establish and engage potential new members including the sales of new membership enrollments
Responsible for entering member cancellations and follow up with phone calls as needed
Assist with any administrative tasks, member requests and follow front desk procedures
Follow all guidelines and policies according to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts including following emergency procedures when necessary
Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
Perform other assigned duties as needed
