Growing together. As the Weight Management you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients requiring specialize care. You’ll work as part of a team-based model where primary and specialty care providers join with hospital partners, community specialists, and skilled nursing facilities to provide high-quality, evidence-based medicine to a diverse and growing population. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine
Board Certified or Board Certification Eligible in Obesity Medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine
Board Certified or Board Certification Eligible in IM, IM subspecialty, or Family Medicine
Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations
Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty

Responsibilities

Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions
Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments
Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care. Maintaining continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies
Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists related to patient care
Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs. Serves as an educator in areas of specialization
Participates in the development of health education programs
