As a Weight & Inspection Specialist, you would be responsible for reviewing and auditing various documents and reports for the W&I and/or Traffic Department. Review and process dimensioner scans on a daily basis for incorrect classification. Apply the correct National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) Class to freight bills. Communicate with the National Motor Freight Traffic Association on a regular basis to obtain proper classification of various commodities. Remain current with changes in NMFC. Communicate with local W&I Inspectors on accounts that need to be visually inspected for correct classifications. Provide support to the Southeastern Account Managers, Auditors, and Customer Service associates by reviewing corrections for accuracy, and providing supporting documentation as needed. Review W&I correction disputes submitted by internal and external customers. Provide support to the Rate Auditors and Traffic Specialists on assigned tasks or projects.
